Having ran the Rock n Roll Liverpool 5k and marathon in 2017 and really enjoying both races as well as scoring a PB in both, I wanted to return this year to have another go at the 5k and try to set a new half marathon PB.
why did I decide to start running? what was my motivation and end goal from this. Kind of a constant moving goal and target but read on to see why first decided to put on my running shoes.
My first proper race since the NYC marathon 4 months ago. Training has gone pretty well since, although all of that training has been endurance work in preparation for the Manchester & London marathon's in April. So the big question was, how is my half marathon pace looking? can I run close to my PB pace or have I lost some of that speed during the endurance training.

Running my local half marathon was something I had thought about for many years but never felt fit enough. This was the year I was going to do it and I loved every second. Fantastic support all the way around, so many friends dotted around the course and a plate at the finish boom!
